Why am I unable to add or remove groups or filters?
Answer
The most likely reason that you are unable to edit groups or filters on the Siteimprove Intelligence Platform is that you do not have the user rights to do so. Only certain users e.g. Administrators, Account Owners, and users with customized access rights can make changes to groups, filters and other account settings in the Siteimprove Intelligence Platform.
Prerequisites
Before you can add or remove groups or filters:
- You must have the appropriate user rights assigned to your account.
- User permissions are controlled through assigned user roles.
- The permissions available to you depend on both your assigned role and the groups, sites and/or checkpoints you have been granted access to.
- Administrators, Account Owners, and users with customized access rights can make changes to groups, filters, and other account settings.
Problem
You are unable to add or remove groups or filters in the Siteimprove Intelligence Platform.
Cause
The most likely reason that you are unable to edit groups or filters on the Siteimprove Intelligence Platform is that you do not have the user rights to do so.
User permissions in Siteimprove are controlled through assigned user roles. There are currently five default user roles:
- Account Owner
- Administrator
- User
- Read Only
- Report Recipient
The permissions listed apply to the groups, sites and/or checkpoints that a user has been granted access to by an Account Owner.
Resolution
Verify that your assigned user role includes permission to manage groups and filters. Only certain users e.g. Administrators, Account Owners, and users with customized access rights can make changes to groups, filters and other account settings in the Siteimprove Intelligence Platform.
If you believe you should have access, contact your Account Owner or Administrator to review your assigned role and permissions.
