Phase out of Response - FAQ
What is happening?
Siteimprove will be phasing out the Response feature by June 30th, 2023.
The web looks very different today compared to the web in 2003 when we first launched Response (then called SiteAlarm). Websites are more immersive and more diverse. They power increasing portions of our digital lives.
We continue to offer three solutions that help you protect your bottom line and grow your topline while supporting your brand governance – namely Inclusivity, Content Experience, and Marketing Performance.
Why the change?
Response was originally designed to notify users when their websites were down. From there, we would set up escalation packages for the necessary stakeholders.
Unfortunately, Response no longer provides the value our users demand. It does not meet our goal to deliver the most comprehensive platform for creating inclusive, high-quality user experiences that accelerate business outcomes.
When does it happen?
The Response feature will be phased out by June 30th, 2023.
The feature will remain active as part of your subscription until that date, at which point it will no longer be active or available.
How will this impact my subscription?
As Response is a basic feature that is currently provided to customers as a standalone offering at no additional charge, your subscription package will not be impacted by the phase out.
For any new contracts or invoices after November 24, 2022, the Response line item in the subscription services will now read “Response (To be sunset by June 2023)”.
Where can I go for further support?
If you’ve been utilizing the “Response time” feature within Response, you’ll find a more complete option in our Performance solution, allowing you to optimize website speed, responsiveness, and user experience.
If you still require a solution for monitoring uptime on your website, there are various free tools available in the market. For example, UptimeRobot.
