Introduction to 2024:Q1 Early Access features

There are two features in our 2024:Q1 launch:

  • Analytics update: Funnel Comparison
  • Accessibility update: AI Remediate

Each feature will be described below.

Analytics update: Funnel comparison

The problem

As a marketer, it can be frustrating to spend hours trying to identify the changes in your funnel after you and your team complete the latest round of content optimizations. It can be daunting to browse through all the data, trying to get an overview of how the conversion rate has changed and what positive trends have occurred.

The solution

Funnel Comparison offers an intuitive visualization of how your funnel has performed. It analyzes each step in the funnel and gives you the option to compare results with different time frames. You can see the differences in the funnel side-by-side and analyze up to six visitor segments, providing insights into the sources delivering the desired behavior. Funnel Comparison enables you to track improvements in, for example, paid traffic or identify decreases in visitors from specific devices or countries.

With the updates, you can:

  • Compare the performance of funnel data between two periods
  • Identify changes in conversion rates across funnel steps
  • Compare different segment filters and see which traffic sources deliver the desired outcome
  • Provide key stakeholders with a convincing narrative of progress by demonstrating the impact of your efforts using data

How to find and use the feature

Accessibility update: AI Remediate

The problem

Users often spend too much time fixing small bugs and errors. This leaves less time to focus on goals such as gaining a better understanding of your users so that you can anticipate their needs. Bringing your expertise to internal stakeholders enables you to influence decision-making and ensure inclusivity is considered with every new project.

The solution

AI Remediate enables you to be more efficient when trying to figure out how to solve accessibility issues. Through recommendations tailored by AI to the webpage, AI Remediate will eliminate the ambiguity of generalized code examples, and reduce the time spent on researching solutions.

How to find and use the feature

To enable the AI Remediate feature, you must be an account owner. If you are a user, kindly contact your account owner to request early access activation for AI Remediate for all users within your organization.

  • Enabled as described in 'How to enable Early Access features' (for the entire account).
  • You need to use our Accessibility module.
  • Users using our Accessibility module will have access to AI Remediate at launch (end of February 2024).

When the feature is enabled follow the following steps:

  1. Go to your page report
  2. For the issues supported by AI, the Code Examples button will be replaced by a “How to fix button”

    1. Issues with AI functionality are:

      1. Autocomplete does not work as intended.
      2. Link missing a text alternative.
      3. Container element is empty

  3. Clicking on the "How to fix" option takes you to a page that allows you to initiate the request to the AI
  4. The "Generate" button will send the relevant part of your website to the AI, together with additional context about the issue that Siteimprove is providing:

  5. When the AI responds, our system will automatically validate the solution to ensure it will fix the problem reported
  6. The result is presented in the 'Code suggestion' box:

  7. Copy the suggested code into your development tool.
