Conversational Analytics (Ask AI)
Summary
Conversational Analytics is an AI-powered chat experience built into Analytics. Using the Ask AI button available on every page, users can explore data and surface insights using natural language. Users without an analytics background can get answers to data questions without knowing which report to open or how to apply filters. Analysts and power users can slice data, build comparisons, and explore trends more efficiently. Users can start with a broad question, narrow their focus through follow-up questions, and then pick up the investigation in the Analytics UI.

What Conversational Analytics does, how to enable it, and who can use it.
What Conversational Analytics Does
Conversational Analytics allows users to interact with their analytics data using natural language. Key capabilities include:
- Asking data‑related questions
Example: “Which Key Metrics converted best in Germany last month?” - Requesting performance summaries
Example: “What are the top traffic sources contributing to Key Metric completions for ‘newsletter signups’ last week?” - Surfacing anomalies and performance drivers
Example: “Which pages had the largest drop in visits last quarter?” - Tracking goals and conversions
Example: "Which Key Metrics had the most completions in Q4?" - Exploring audience and campaign data
Example: “Which campaigns drove the most traffic last week?"
Tips for Getting Accurate Results
- Ask specific, data-focused questions.
Note: Accessibility and QA data are not supported. - Include time ranges when possible to help narrow the scope.
- Reference objects, such as Key Metrics, pages or campaigns by name to improve accuracy.
- Ask questions in your preferred language. The agent responds in the language of your question. Localization preferences from your profile (date format, number format, etc.) are applied where possible.
- The agent respects the site selected in the site picker. It does not currently pick up active group or filter selections from the current page. Include those in your question if needed.
Data, Privacy & Security
- Your organization's data remains private and isolated.
- Data is not shared with other customers accounts.
- Your data is not used to train the model.
- Data is only used to generate responses within your active session.
- Your inputs and context are used solely to generate responses while you are interacting with the feature.
- Conversational Analytics is built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.
- The model being used to generate responses is Claude Sonnet 4.5.
- In‑product feedback is retained for quality, not training. When you provide thumbs up/down or comments, that feedback may be stored to help improve the quality and safety of future responses, but it is not used for training or fine-tuning models.
