How to trigger contextual image analysis in Siteimprove

Overview
This procedure walks you through where to access Contextual Image Analysis in Siteimprove and how to run an AI review on individual images. It explains the available entry points in the interface and shows how to initiate analysis so you can review whether existing alt-text accurately reflects image content within your selected pages or image lists.
Procedure
How to trigger an Image Analysis
You can access and trigger Image Analysis in two ways:
From the Images tab
- Go to the Accessibility module in Siteimprove.
- Open the AI-powered reviews section and navigate to the Images tab.
- Browse the list of images with their associated alt-text.
- Click Run AI review next to an image to analyze that specific occurrence.
From a Page view
- Navigate to the Pages with images tab.
- Select a page to open its details view.
- In the Images on this page section, you’ll see all image–alt-text pairs found on that page.
- Click Run AI review for any image you want to analyze.
Even when accessed from a Page view, each analysis still occurs at the individual image/occurrence level.
Validation / Confirmation
Once the analysis is complete, you’ll see the result (Descriptive or Not descriptive) displayed in the table.
