Platform UI Navigation Improvements
Summary
The Siteimprove platform navigation has been updated to improve clarity, grouping, and usability. Some items have been renamed, moved, or reorganized, but no functionality has been removed and all features remain available.
Overview
We have updated the navigation in the Siteimprove platform. Labels are clearer, related items are better grouped, and the menus are easier to scan. A small number of menu items have also moved to new locations. This article explains what has changed and helps you find anything that may not be in its usual place.
Nothing has been removed. All existing features and functionality are still available.
What has changed?
The navigation update includes renamed items, restructured sub-menus, and visual improvements.
Change types
- Renamed items. A small number of menu items have new names that better describe what they do.
- Restructured sub-menus. Items within modules are now organized into clear sections: Get an overview, Optimize, and Settings.
- Visual improvements. Updated spacing, indentation, and typography throughout. Navigation search now dims the background when active, making results easier to scan.

The option for exploring additional features in your subscription has been renamed to make its purpose clearer.

Overview page labels have been simplified to just “Overview.”

Several modules have been reorganized for clearer grouping.
Module changes
- Module: Digital Certainty Index
- What has changed: The menu now includes Compare Sites, Single Page Check, and a new Issues section containing Issues and Resolved Issues.
- Module: Accessibility
- What has changed: Items are now organized into two sections. Get an overview contains: Overview, Compare Sites, Page Groups, Site Target, and Single Page Check. Optimize contains: Issues and Compliance (which includes WCAG Guidelines, European Accessibility Act, and ADA Title II). Accessibility Settings has moved from global Settings into the Accessibility module menu.
- Module: Quality Assurance
- What has changed: Items previously nested in collapsed sections are now shown directly in the Get an overview section: Overview, Compare Sites, Page Groups, Priority Pages, Check History, Single Page Check, and Inventory. Issues and Resolved Issues are now grouped together under Issues in the Optimize section. The Summary item has been removed. QA Settings has moved from global Settings into the QA module menu.
- Module: Policy
- What has changed: All items have been renamed: My Sites is now Compare Sites, My Policies is now Active Policies, and Policy Library is now Policy Templates.
- Module: SEO module
- What has changed: The sub-menu has been reorganized into clearly labelled sections: Keyword research, Topic intelligence, Competitive analysis, Content AI, Activities, Backlinks, Paid Search, Website Status, and Settings.
- Module: Data Privacy
- What has changed: Items previously nested under Personal Data Inventory are now shown directly in the Data Privacy module menu.
- Module: Settings
- What has changed: Items have been reordered and two new entries have been added. The updated order is: Profile, Subscription, Users, Sites, Tags, Page Groups, Reports (new), Crawler (new), Integrations, and Security and Authentication (renamed). Analytics and main module settings are unchanged.
Frequently asked questions
- I cannot find a menu item I used before. What should I do?
- Use navigation search (Cmd + K on Mac, Ctrl + K on Windows) to search for any feature by name. You can also check the moved items table above for the most common changes.
- Has anything been removed from the platform?
- The Quality Assurance Summary menu item has been removed. All other features remain available. Some items have moved to a different location or been renamed.
- Why has Explore more module been renamed?
- The new name, Upgrades available, immediately tells you what you will find there: features and modules available to add to your subscription.
- Will this affect my data, reports, or integrations?
- No. This is a visual and navigational change only. Your data, reports, settings, and integrations are not affected.
- Do I need to do anything to receive the update?
- No. The update is applied automatically. No action is required on your part.
