June 2026 release notes: Fix PDF accessibility issues with new agent | Shadow DOM support for SEO page reports | Updated plugins for Drupal and Sitecore |

Modified on: Thu, 25 Jun, 2026 at 1:13 PM

Product updates and new capabilities released to the Siteimprove platform in June. Designed to enhance your experience and help you achieve more with ease and efficiency.

The June release includes:

  1. New feature: PDF remediation agent
  2. Shadow DOM support for SEO page reports
  3. Updated CMS plugin for Drupal
  4. Updated CMS plugin for Sitecore

1. New feature: PDF remediation agent

The PDF Remediation Agent fixes accessibility issues in your PDFs for you.

Instead of opening every PDF in a separate remediation tool, you select a PDF in Siteimprove, choose how you want the agent to work on it, and the agent applies the structural and content-level fixes that make the document usable for screen readers and other assistive technology.

Choose between two remediation modes, let the agent run, review the result, and download a remediated PDF within the Siteimprove platform.

The agent fixes issues across five areas:

  • Document properties: title, language, and metadata
  • Reading structure: tags, headings, tables, and reading order
  • Content and alternatives: annotations, form fields, and their labels
  • Navigation: bookmarks and keyboard tab order
  • Quality and compliance: fonts, spacing, and print-production clutter

Access

The PDF Remediation Agent is available as an add-on to your Siteimprove subscription. The PDF Remediation Agent can then be accessed directly in the platform: Accessibility > PDFs > PDF audit and PDF validate. Access is available to all users in your account by default, except users with group-only permissions. Usage limits vary based on your subscription tier.

Visit the Help Center to read more: How PDF Remediation works. (Opens in a new tab).

2. Shadow DOM support for SEO page reports

SEO page reports now cover content inside web components.

What's new

Siteimprove SEO page reports can now analyze content built with modern web component technology (Shadow DOM). All visible content on a page is included in the analysis — including content that lives inside web components — giving you a more complete and accurate picture of your site's SEO health.

Previously, Shadow DOM content was not rendered in page reports, which meant some SEO issues inside web components weren’t highlighted. With this update, issues found inside web components are highlighted directly in the SEO page report, just like any other issue.

Who is affected

Users whose sites use web components will automatically see more complete SEO results. No configuration changes are needed.

3. Updated CMS plugin for Drupal

Updated versions now available for the Siteimprove CMS Plugin for Drupal.

This release brings bug fixes and maintenance improvements across version 3.0.5 and version 2.0.6, enhancing stability and compatibility in your Drupal environment.
