What is the Siteimprove Share Widget?
The Siteimprove Share Widget allows your website visitors to quickly print, email, or share your website's content on different social media platforms. The Share Widget can be customized to fit in with the look and feel of your site. To configure the share widget follow the steps outlined in "How to set up the Share Widget".
Clients subscribed to the Siteimprove Analytics Suite can enable the Share Widget via the left menu in the Siteimprove platform.
Note: Clients subscribed to the Siteimprove Content Suite only, will need to add our Analytics code to their website before enabling the widget. To learn more see: “Adding Siteimprove Analytics JavaScript to your website”.
Once the Share Widget is configured for your site, icons for each social media platform (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) will be visible in a Share Widget on the site as shown below. Website users can then easily share, print or email content by clicking on the icons.
Advantages of the Siteimprove Share Widget
The Share Widget encourages visitors to share your web content on social media platforms, thereby generating more traffic for your website.
Third-party share widgets often come with the risk of compromising visitor's privacy by using cookies to gather data which can be shared with advertisers.
The Siteimprove Share Widget does not collect data from users and does not sell visitor data to third parties.
