Modified on: Wed, 29 Jul, 2026 at 4:15 PM

Product updates and new capabilities released to the Siteimprove platform in July. Designed to enhance your experience and help you achieve more with ease and efficiency.

The July release includes:

  1. New in the PDF Remediation Agent: Language detection, bulk workflows, and status filtering
  2. Platform UI navigation improvements
  3. Siteimprove Accessibility Checker for Figma
  4. Siteimprove sign-in: IP address change (effective July 8, 2026)

1. New in the PDF Remediation Agent: Language detection, bulk workflows, and status filtering

We've added several updates to the PDF Remediation Agent to help you work through larger volumes of PDFs faster and keep better track of where each file stands.

Automatic language detection

PDF Remediation can now automatically detect the language of a PDF and update the PDF's metadata to match. Correct language metadata is required for screen readers and other assistive technology to pronounce content correctly, so this removes a manual step that was previously easy to miss.

Now available:

  • Detect: Automatically identifies the language used in your PDF content.
  • Remediate: Writes the detected language into the PDF's metadata, no manual editing required.

Bulk remediation

You can now remediate multiple PDFs at once instead of processing them one by one. If a remediation doesn't turn out the way you expected, you can delete it and remediate the file again.

Now available:

  • Select and remediate: Apply remediation to multiple PDFs in a single action.
  • Delete and retry: Remove a remediated PDF and run remediation again if needed.

Bulk download

You could already download a remediated PDF one at a time. You can now download multiple remediated PDFs in one go, making it faster to retrieve and distribute corrected files at scale.

Auto-remediated status filter

A new filter lets you narrow your PDF list by remediation status, making it easier to see where things stand across a large set of files.

Filter by status:

  • Not auto-remediated: PDFs that haven't been through remediation yet.
  • In progress: PDFs currently being remediated.
  • Completed: PDFs that have been successfully remediated.
  • Expired: Remediated PDFs where the remediation has expired. For security reasons, a completed remediation expires 30 days after completion.

These features are available to customers who have added the PDF Remediation Agent to their Siteimprove subscription.

2. Platform UI navigation improvements

The Siteimprove platform navigation has been updated to improve clarity, grouping, and usability across all modules.

Labels are clearer, related items are better grouped, and the menus are easier to scan. A small number of items have also moved to new locations. No functionality has been removed and all features remain available.

What has changed

  • Renamed items: A small number of menu items have new names that better describe what they do. The most notable change: the option previously labelled "Explore more modules" is now labelled "Upgrades available."
  • Restructured sub-menus: Module sub-menus across Accessibility, Quality Assurance, Digital Certainty Index, Policy, Search, Data Privacy, and Settings now use consistent section groupings: Get an overview, Optimize, and Settings.
  • Moved items: Some items have moved to new locations within their module. If something is not where you expect it, use navigation search (Cmd + K on Mac, Ctrl + K on Windows) to find it by name.
  • Visual improvements: Updated spacing, indentation, and typography throughout. Navigation search now dims the background when active, making results easier to scan.

Modules with the most significant changes

  • Accessibility: Items reorganized into “Get an overview” and “Optimize” sections. Accessibility Settings has moved from global Settings into the Accessibility module menu.
  • Quality Assurance: Previously nested items are now shown directly in the menu. Quality Assurance Settings has moved from global Settings into the Quality Assurance module menu. The Summary item has been removed.
  • Search: The sub-menu has been reorganized into clearly labelled sections: Keyword research, Topic intelligence, Competitive analysis, Content AI, Activities, Backlinks, Paid Search, and Website Status.
  • Settings: Items have been reordered and two new entries added: Reports and Crawler.

3. Siteimprove Accessibility Checker for Figma

The Siteimprove Accessibility Checker is a Figma plugin that lets designers find and fix accessibility issues while teams are still designing.

Select any frame, component, or group and run an accessibility scan. The plugin checks for contrast failures, touch targets that are too small, text readability issues, and more, all mapped to your target WCAG version and conformance level. Results link directly to the affected layer in Figma, so there's no guessing what needs to change.

Alongside the scanner, the plugin also includes two interactive tools:

  • Contrast Checker: test any color pair against WCAG thresholds.
  • Vision Explorer: preview how your designs look to people with different types of color vision.

Save findings from both the scan and the explorer as a styled panel directly on the Figma canvas, making it easy to share results with the wider team without leaving the file.

4. Siteimprove sign-in: IP address change (effective July 8, 2026)

Siteimprove's sign-in provider, FusionAuth, upgraded its infrastructure and introduced new static IP addresses on July 8, 2026. Your sign-in experience did not change, but organizations that restrict outbound traffic by IP address may have needed to update their firewall settings.

This change did not impact IP addresses used by the Siteimprove crawler, analytics, or other services.

Who may have been affected

This change may have affected your organization if your firewall restricts outbound traffic to Siteimprove by specific IP addresses. If you're not sure whether this applied to you, we recommend checking with your IT team.

What you needed to do

  • Work with your IT team to update your firewall allow-list before July 8. See our Help Article for the full list of new IPs (opens in a new tab).
  • If your setup allows it, allow-listing identity.siteimprove.com by domain rather than IP is worth considering. It's more resilient to future infrastructure changes.
  • Failure to update before the deadline may have resulted in sign-in disruptions for your users.

For the full list of new IPs and step-by-step guidance, see our Help Center article (opens in a new window). If you have questions, contact Siteimprove Support.
